How far will Spanish I take me?

While you will probably not be able to have a deep discussion about economics, politics, medicine, or law after completing this course, you will have established the foundations and understanding of Spanish—not to mention Spanish speaking ability—necessary to attack those subjects more successfully as you continue your study. Does Spanish I teach by immersion?
Many language products promise to teach you Spanish quickly and easily by simply “immersing” you in the language. Don’t be fooled by the hype. Learning a foreign language can be fun and fulfilling, but achieving the ability to communicate effectively in a foreign language requires effort and a learning system that allows you to read, hear, write, see graphically, and interact with Spanish. Does Spanish I utilize voice recognition tools to teach Spanish?
